They said it would happen. Avatar has made movie history, and for at least some film genres, there's no looking back. Clash of the Titans, a remake of the 1981 film, will now be released as a 3D feature. The trailer is your everyday 2D of course, but you can get an idea what you'll be in for by watching Clash of the Titans online.
A word of advice for this movie: no matter what anyone tells you, it helps if you know your Greek mythology a little bit before seeing the film. Watch Clash of the Titans online and snag some of the character names to get some information on before you go. It sounds like homework, I know, but you'll be able to follow the movie a lot easier if you do.
However, the advice above is based on the original 1981 film. If you saw the original and can't wait to see it again after watching Clash of the Titans online, you may be disappointed. The new film may be billed as a remake, but other than having most of the same characters, the story is not the same.
Whether you know your Greek mythology ahead of time or not, you'll be well versed in it after you finish watching Clash of the Titans online. It tells the story of Perseus, played by Sam Worthington, who in mythology had a mortal mother and Zeus, the top god, as his father. In this story, Hades, the god of the underworld, is well on the way to taking the reigns from Zeus as top god, at which time, being the passive/aggressive loser that he is, he intends to open the virtual border up between heaven and hell. The story you'll see when you watch Clash of the Titans online is about Perseus' quest to come to Zeus' aid and save the world from Hades.
Fans of the 1981 original may be disenchanted at first, but after they watch Clash of the Titans online, they'll probably agree that this is a better story. Surely a story mash-up will be worth a new finished product, with more action and incredible visuals.
